Hey, Future Med Students and Colleagues, I know many of you are looking for a place to live, and up for grabs is a space not only in a great location but also a nice, quiet study environment for one person or a couple. Available is a one bedroom, one bath, fully furnished apartment (full size bed, large closet, 2 couches, dining table, refrigerator, bookshelves, stove) near Pablo Neruda and Ruben Dario. There is plenty of natural light with huge windows overlooking a garden area. This is about a 15 minute walk to the ICB campus, but the extra distance is well worth it as a grocery store, Subway, well-lit running trail/outdoor work out facility, 7-11, several restaurants and shops are all within a less than 5 minute walk (7-11 is right across the street and there is an amazing coffee shop not even one block away--my local study spot). Affordable apartments are not easy to find in this neighborhood without a fiador (a Mexican co-signer that owns property in GDL). This apartment only requires one month's rent for a deposit up front. Rent is $6400 pesos with gas, water and Internet included. The only other bill you would be concerned about is electricity, which runs on average about 100 pesos every two months (like $8). The only reason it has become available is due to my friend and I deciding to be roommates in a house only a few streets up in the same amazing neighborhood. The landlord lives on-sight and is quick to respond to any problems that arise. She understands English well, but if you need any help, we will be more than happy to interpret/translate for you. It will be available July 1st, so act quickly! :-) Some pictures are attached, and feel free to contact me with any questions.
