Hi
I know the question of "how is the grading system at Ross University" has been asked before. But my question is to all you former UCLA/ UC Berkeley alumnis; is Ross University's grading system similar to that of UCLA and UC Berkeley.
I know for a fact at UCLA the grading scale in sciences classes is really tough and that they only give out like 15% As (including A-). And the grad distribution is pre-set before the class even begins. This makes classes really competitive since after the dropped students leave the class, you are competing with the top students in the class for a good grade. Also are there pluses and minuses in your grade at Ross? How are the exams? Is it just 1 midterm and 1 final? Are the students really competitive since letter grades are assigned and it is not a pass/fail system?
Also, when you apply for clinicals, do they look at your grades or do they mostly look at your USMLE Step 1 score? Can someone not get into clinicals because they had too many C's even if they had a decent step 1 score?
Lastly how has the new Devry acquistion changed things at AUC? Are class sizes bigger?
