I am still at the early stages of medical training, in my second year. My school has been looking at getting students to take extra courses, one such was Basic Trauma Life Support. I am curious though, if anyone knows, which certifications a Physician must hold for their practice, or whether these may be specialty specific. Some examples were the International Trauma Life Support Course, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program. Any suggestions if these programs will be helpful during the MD degree or if its best to wait until residency to get them, if at all. Thank you :)
