DAY 1


  • USMLE Step 2 CS Exam Orientation



Introduction about Medical Legends
Exploring different components of the exam.
Discuss Integrated Clinical Encounter (ICE)
Discuss Communication and Interpersonal Skill(CIS)
Discuss Spoken English Proficiency (SEP)



  • Understanding differential diagnosis
  • It is very important to understand the differential diagnosis in order to
  • ​ask appropriate questions




  • Exploring Medical Legends format of History Taking.


How to introduce yourself!
How to ask questions (what to ask and what not to ask)!
How to acknowledge patients concern!
How to show empathy to patients with different scenarios!
How to manage challenging questions!
How to council the patients!
How to approach closure!
How to write patient notes!
How to manage your time!
DAY 2



  • Review of format in which to take medical history – the fool-proofMedical Legends way!
  • Live demonstration of the complete physical exam on an on an experienced standardized patient (SP)
  • Exploring case # 1 to 10 with history taking, Physical exam and closure, from the Medical Legends handbook



DAY 3


  • Exploring case # 11 to 25 with history taking, Physical exam and closure from Medical Legends handbook.
  • Addressing Students questions and concern



DAY 4


  • Standardized patient encounter part 1 – Standard cases


Time for the students to practice what they have learned from
Medical Legends on standardized patients. (Timed sessions)
15 minutes for history taking and physical exam and 10 minutes for
typing up patient notes.


  • Detailed feedback will be given to students individually which helps to correct and improve students performance.



DAY 5


  • Standardized patient encounter part 2 – Challenging cases


Time for the students to practice what they have learned from
Medical Legends on standardized patients. (Timed sessions)
15 minutes for history taking and physical exam and 10 minutes for
typing up patient notes.


  • Detailed feedback will be given to students individually which helps to correct or improve students performance.
