Hey guys
I will be starting Extended Basic Sciences at UMHS in Fall 2015 and I was wondering if I could finish in time to apply for the 2019 match.
This is what a timeline without hiccups looks like:
Sep. 2015 - EBS 1
Jan. 2016 - EBS 2
May 2016 - EBS 3
Sep 2016 - EBS 4
Jan. 2017 - EBS 5
May 2017 - Sem. 5 and Step 1
Sep. 2017 - Sem. 6
Jan. 2018 - Sem. 7
May 2018 - Sem. 8
Sep 2018 - Sem. 9 and Step 2
Jan. 2019 - Sem. 10 and hopefully graduation.
Going by that timeline, I should graduate by May 2019 and potentially start residency in July 2019.
But for some reason, I was told to apply for financial aid with an anticipated graduation date of December 2019, which is 2 semesters further than what I calculated.
Can anyone who has gone through the process weigh in on this. Aren't the rotations at UMHS back to back? If not, how much delay is there?
