NY and California accreditation

My daughter is thinking of a Medical career and has been doing her due diligence around prospective schools she would like to apply. I am also trying to help her out with some additional information and hence do spend some time on this website reading different views and inputs. We are not looking at the Caribbean schools since we had a number of friends who have had their kids go to some of the reputed ones in that area. I am not intending to get into any long discussions around this sensitive point and would like to keep my focus on what I am talking about.
We have been looking at SGUL Nicossia as a probable school and have attended their orientation sessions in US. Based on what I hear and based on my limited interaction with the presenters in these sessions, I find that they are honest and pretty transparent in what they can offer at the moment
The only thing that concerns me is that they have not made any serious attempt to get themselves accredited with the various states. I am making this statement since I have seen much smaller schools in different parts of the world beenable to list themselves with the two big states in US (New York and California).Recognition in these two states makes a lot of difference and SGUL is a reputed school with an accreditation already existing for their institution in these two states. I FAIL TO UNDERSTAND THE DELAY IN GETTING THE SAME FOR THEIR NICOSIA CAMPUS, given the fact that it is the same curriculum.

I am hoping that the management at SGUL will take this initiative pretty seriously and expedite the process given the fact that I see schools even from third world countries listed as recognized .I am sure that there are parents like us who would like to see their children have wider choices and SGUL is a good choice in my view PROVIDED THEY GET THIS CLEARED. Their curriculum is good and I have read on this website kids actually expressing their happiness at the quality and sincerity of the curriculum and teaching staff.

I AM HOPING THAT SOME ONE FROM THE MANAGEMENT AT SGUL-Nicosia WOULD PROVIDE MORE INSIGHTS ON THIS IN THIS COLUMN.
