Hello everyone! it's me (again)....
Is it true that after a certain number of years your record for USMLE steps is deleted from the ERAS/ECFMG records and program directors don't see it when you apply to residencies?
If so, after how many years are records deleted?
I am an IMG who graduated in 2000 and have 1 failed attempt in USMLE Step 1 in 2002. I've been told that after a certain number of years the record is wiped off. However, when I sign in to ERAS/ECFMG website using my old ECFMG number that was used when I attempted step 1 it shows the 1 failed attempt (no score, which was 71). Should I apply for/get a new ERAS/ECFMG number or will they always cross reference my name, records etc?
Thanks.
