Caribbean medical schools are NO LONGER a viable option to becoming an MD.
Consider this another warning to all prospective students, especially non-American citizens, on the incredible dangers of attending offshore medical schools.
I remember myself, 4 years ago, researching AUC as a recent University of Toronto Honors Bachelor of Science grad with a double major in...

Did anyone match this year 2016?
I'm curious to see whether anyone matched this year from our school. This forum is dead and nobody from the school talks on the myauis forum either, so wanted to know whether we matched anyone this year?
For me I didn't match. I'm really upset and don't know what to do. I was really upset at...

Can my acceptance be taken away if my final transcript grades are too low?
I'm starting in May, but I just got a couple D's in some random classes my last semester. My GPA this semester was like 2.2. But I was already accepted. Is there a chance they rescind the offer? I already paid the deposit and visa/plane stuff..

sensitivity vs. specificity tradeoff
you may have seen the usmle biostats question that involves a graph with two histograms and a line (cut-off value) down the middle. the question then asks what happens to the sensitivity of the test if you shift the line to the left. well, if the answer isn't really clear to you, i explained it...

Residency Match List

Ross University Loans
So I am attending Ross summer 2016 term and I had a couple of questions about loans. On average, how much money do you guys take out per year? If I ask for much more or much less than average, would that hurt my chances of getting a loan?

Jamaica Housing
Hello all.
I am doing my clinical rotations here in May Pen, Jamaica and I wanted to inform all incoming students about the housing at Mr. Aldo Brown and Mrs. Sharon Browns house on Glenmuir road. PLEASE, DONT COME HERE.
These are horrible people who are after the money and always crying about the money and how much they spend on us at the house. They overcharge students alot and don't provide the service. There is always daily water problem at the house and they refuse to answer calls when someone calls for a problem. Students have woken up in the morning with no water or evening with no water or come home and there is no water. The maid and gardner abuses water but they blame the students. If gas runs out they take long time to replace it meanwhile noone can cook and have nothing to eat. The internet is very slow and again they blame the students. They say they have the highest speed internet working at the house but it's the slowest one which is outdated. They make fools out of students. They say drinking water is safe but it is very unsafe. Don't come here. There are other accomodations available. They never keep their word. They charge every student different price. Some student pay for one room which other students at other places pay for an entire town home in gated community. Very rude, very bad people.
If you want to come, ask for another accomodation. Besides, hospital is very good and teaching good too.
